Keep Going

The original piece is a mixed media creation on paper, some of you may know, I have EDS (Ellers Danlos Syndrome). As a worship leader and musican, to have chronic pain and dislocations can be incredibly rough. I didn’t even realize it when I drew this, but my shoulder is dislocated in the drawing. This is such a normal occurrence for me, that I just happened to capture it in the art. It’s how all of my art is done, and it’s how all of my worship is done. Through pain. There is something powerful about worshiping anyway. Creating anyway. Carrying the guitar with dislocated shoulder and playing it with dislocated fingers. May this work inspire you to keep going and keep worshiping when things get hard. It’s so hard to explain to those who have not experienced it. But although it is one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with, it is also one of the most beautiful because He is so near. He does give me extra portions of strength and help.
