This piece began as an original mixed media collage. It was then painted over during a workshop. This is a companion piece to Freedom After Captivity & The Source. This represents the grief of looking back over my story. It represents that feeling of lost time and being unseen and unheard. Many times, what we don’t see when we are in that place is that there is new life bursting fourth. Pain can be fruitful. Grief is part of our healing.
